What educators are saying

This is a great resource! I was struggling to help my students understand writing when they had no foundation the years before me. This helped me to lay the foundation for them and also to get them to start writing properly.
I loved how this resource aligns with our state testing - reading response/writing! It is an all-in-one resource that includes reading passages, rubrics, writing paper, graphic organizers, and anchor charts. These resources have attractive layouts and are so easy to implement!

    Description

If you are teaching 3rd grade writing, 4th grade writing, or 5th grade writing this year (in a classroom or homeschooling), then this curriculum will be a huge time-saver. Whenever you need to teach a new writing skill such as paragraph writing, 5-paragraph essays, opinion writing, informational writing, essay introductions, or citing text evidence, just download the needed resource that is included with this bundle, and then use the detailed lesson plans and PowerPoint to start teaching. The PowerPoints and graphic organizers that I have created make teaching these writing skills (even the tricky ones like citing text evidence) so easy!

Another reason you will save so much time with this bundle is because it also includes test prep writing prompts that come with passages. You will get 5 opinion writing prompts and 6 informational writing prompts. Every single writing prompt comes with passages/informational text, graphic organizers, writing samples, and a rubric. Scroll further down to see the writing prompts.

This writing MEGA BUNDLE includes ALL of my current writing products and all of my FUTURE writing products!! Each time I create a new writing resource, I will add it to this bundle. As each new resource is added, the price will increase. So buying now will get you the best value.

When I am finished with this bundle, it will become a year's worth of writing curriculum for 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade. It will cover every single 3rd-5th grade writing standard while simultaneously preparing students for the state test.

    Teachers Love This Resource!

LaTefy ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ "My 5th graders must learn to write a 5 paragraph essay. This is a task. Many come in below level and trying to pull that much language out of them is difficult. But this set breaks the process into manageable steps. They are doing really well with it. This set scaffolds the process into an organized approach that is really making a difference. They are really starting to catch on. The materials have made a tremendous difference in my life and my kids' learning."

Jennifer ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ "I am homeschooling a 2nd grader and 3rd grader and trying to prepare them for state testing, which includes writing a 5-paragraph essay based on reading passages. This resource is just what I need for teaching the component parts of writing, the types of writing, as well as helping them practice reading passages and responding in essay format. Thank you Lotts of Learning!"

Stephanie ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ "This is an amazing writing resource. I LOVE the slides and the student note pages. This seller does a great job getting back to you and providing accommodations as needed."

This Mega Bundle now includes a bonus, PowerPoint file. When you open the PowerPoint, you will see a suggested schedule. This suggested schedule is a scope and sequence of the curriculum. It shows which products are included, a brief description of each product, and what order you could teach them in.

What lessons will be added in the future?

Here are the lessons that I am planning to add in the future:

    • Elaboration: Don't write a skeleton essay, write a Hulk essay.
    • Transitions: The words "first," "second," and "last," are not always the best transitions to use
    • How to add and define domain-specific vocabulary in your essays
    • Weak opinion, strong opinion, or rude opinion? Teach students to write strong opinions that aren't rude.
    • Personal Narrative Writing unit

***I am also planning on creating more writing prompts that come with mentor texts. It probably won't be until the beginning of 2024, but if I do, those will be added to this bundle!***

Now... for the question I'm sure you're wondering...

When will all of these resources be completed?!

I cannot guarantee a date for when the rest of the curriculum will be finished, but the goal is for me to have this writing curriculum finished by the end of December 2023. (I had previously said December of 2019, but then I had my third baby and needed to work on my mental health for a couple years. Thank you for your patience!)

If you have any questions, click the Q&A tab, type up your question, and I will respond right away!
