What grade levels would you suggest using the notebooks?

I wrote this with my 4th graders in mind and used the 4th grade Georgia Standards of Excellence to guide the topics I included. I have also had 5th-grade teachers use it. Students in lower grades have also used this while homeschooling or in the classroom with teacher assistance, especially with reading and discussing the passages. Middle and high school and special ed teachers have also found the interactive notebooks helpful. Once you read the topics of the passages, you can decide if they are suitable for your group of kids.

Can the notebooks only be used by Georgia teachers?

Any teacher that needs to cover the same topics in history could implement these passages and activities into their lessons. History is history, so many students across the country (or even the world) tend to study the same topics.

Why do I think you will love my passages?

I work very hard to research the information. I try to include a lot of info. and not leave gaps in history like some textbooks do. I try to write passages on one topic, so that it is easier for upper elementary to digest. I have been told I have a writing style that makes the topics easy to learn. I have taught the information for twenty years, PLUS... a bonus is that I confer with my husband who has taught US History for nearly twenty five years and has a Master's degree in Social Sciences (including US History). I can assure you that we make a great team when it comes to US History!

These products are NOT editable. You can not cut and paste the passages or images. This is to protect my work as well as my need to follow licensing rules from the clip artists I buy from.

This pack was not originally set up with digital assignments in mind, so please keep that in mind. There are parts of the pack though that will work nicely with digital, such as assigning a passage for the kids to read. (2 of the same passage are on page, but that shouldn't pose a problem) You can assign all or part of a pdf to your students and they can annotate the files.
