What educators are saying

LOVE IT!!! My students were engaged the entire time. They were excited it was a FUN formative for the end of the quarter. I would buy more of these if you made them.
Thank you for the wonderful resource! I am always grateful to find products that supplement our curriculums and add something different for the students!

Description

It's a Christmas Math Themed "Show What You Know" activity. This activity is a perfect review of a few 5th grade math skills, in addition to creating a fun hallway or bulletin board display.

There are 6 pages included. Those 6 pages are made up of: Black/White set, Color set, and answer key pages. The color and black and white are the SAME problems - just offering a choice of black/white vs. color.

For this fun Christmas math craftivity, students will solve the problems, color the pictures, cut the two pages out, and glue them together. It's a fun way to get in the holiday spirit, and it makes a perfect display to show off their math skills.

I have also included an answer key, so that you can grade it if you would like.

This activity is perfect for a Christmas math center, morning work, homework, whole class graded activity, and even for a sub activity.... so many ways to use in the classroom.

Recognize that in a multi-digit number, a digit in one place represents 10 times as much as it represents in the place to its right and 1/10 of what it represents in the place to its left.
Compare two decimals to thousandths based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
Use place value understanding to round decimals to any place.
Fluently multiply multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
Add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators (including mixed numbers) by replacing given fractions with equivalent fractions in such a way as to produce an equivalent sum or difference of fractions with like denominators. For example, 2/3 + 5/4 = 8/12 + 15/12 = 23/12. (In general, 𝘢/𝘣 + 𝘤/𝘥 = (𝘢𝘥 + 𝘣𝘤)/𝘣𝘥.)
