6 Day Project - Child Development Stages

This is a PDF document that describes a self-directed project for your Child Development / Family Studies / Family Consumer Sciences students to complete in pairs. Each pair will sign up for a particular stage of child development (listed on the document). They will become experts in that stage by researching online, textbooks, books, magazines, databases, etc. to learn about the physical, emotional/social, and intellectual development of a child. Students will use that information to teach other students via a poster displaying the information in a graphically organized, colourful, visual, etc. method.

Day 1 & 2 - research information
Day 3, 4 and 5 - assemble poster, submit critical thinking questions to teacher to compile all the questions on a sheet
Day 6 - students view and rotate through all the posters to learn about each stage of development.
