Description
Providing Positive behavior support and intervention can be a challenge in many classrooms, but it's even a bigger challenge for students who have limited access to language.
As a teacher of the deaf, I realized after many years of frustration, that my students struggled demonstrate positive behavior skills because they didn’t know the rules. They hadn’t been exposed to the vocabulary and had not ever had “the rules” explained to them.
I designed these activities with these students in mind. The activities are equipped with LOTS OF REPETITION and lots of opportunities for students and teachers to discuss what they see. These books include examples of correct behavior as well as examples of incorrect behaviors. This gives you and your students an opportunity to discuss what the positive and negative behaviors, look like, sound like, feel like etc.
