Adding 3 Numbers for PowerPoint and Google Slides is great resource to help your first and second grade students learn how to add multiple addends. 4 Digital Games

Game 1 - Write the Answer

Students will practice adding 3 numbers and write the total amount.

Game 2 - Find the Answer

Students will solve the addition equation to find the answer.

Game 3 - Multiple Choice

Students will add 3 numbers and match the answer to the correct question.

Game 4 - True or False

Students will determine if the answer matches the addition equation.

Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract. If 8 + 3 = 11 is known, then 3 + 8 = 11 is also known. (Commutative property of addition.) To add 2 + 6 + 4, the second two numbers can be added to make a ten, so 2 + 6 + 4 = 2 + 10 = 12. (Associative property of addition.)

CCSS2.OA.B.2

Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies. By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.
