Description

American Revolution Biography Research Posters - 28 American Revolution Heroes featured

These fun American Revolution biography posters provide a great opportunity to learn about the role these fascinating individuals played in the American Revolution.

I have marked these posters for grades 4-6, but I feel they will be most popular in grades 4-5. Please use your best judgement and click on the PREVIEW button above to get a better idea as to what you are purchasing. Some teachers in grades 7-8 may also find these suitable. Once again, look closely and you can decide. :-)

These are perfect for when you are finishing up your studies of The American Revolution.

Grab your media specialist, get your computers ready, and have fun learning about some new people.

Once you finish up an in depth topic like the Revolution, it's the perfect time to let students start doing some research independently. They have probably been in school for half the year, so it's time to see what they can do. :-)

Let your students share what they have learned about their famous person by using this 8.5 x 11 biography poster.

On each American Revolution themed poster you will find the name of an individual that played a role in the American Revolution as well as their picture. The images vary in style, so please click the preview above to get a better idea of what the images look like.

Students will fill in the below information:

*Their own name

*Birth/Death of individual (if they have died)

*Most famous for:

*3 important facts about the person

*Family Life

*Role in the Revolution

*Patriot or Loyalist

*Character Trail with evidence

*Life after the Revolution

If you choose to have your students take the info. from the posters and write a paper in paragraph form, I have also included a page that could be used as the first page of their paper. It has a place for an illustration. They would then staple any notebook pages used to this page.

You will find that some are more famous than others, and if you have more than 28 students in your class, you may have to duplicate people or use the bonus page I included to add another person.

The individuals I included are:

Abigail Adams

John Adams

Samuel Adams

Ethan Allen

Benedict Arnold

Crispus Attucks

John Burgoyne

Charles Cornwallis

Benjamin Franklin

Thomas Gage

Horatio Gates

King George

Nathanael Greene

Nathan Hale

John Hancock

Patrick Henry

William Howe

Thomas Jefferson

Blank Page for Any Person

All posters have a few extra 'American' themed images, including the few Loyalists on the list also have American themed images. I thought that it worked well since Americans were fighting for independence.

I have also included an 8.5 x 11 Title poster that you could laminate and hang above the posters if you choose to display them. They look great hanging in the hallway or in the classroom on a bulletin board.

NOTE: Once you have displayed them, they would be great to bind in order to make a class book. Use the title page I made as the cover for the book. What a great class project!! Kids will enjoy reading it for the rest of the year.

Thanks so much, as I always appreciate it when people stop by to look at my products.
