Bucket Filler Bundle (Activities, Bulletin Board, Class Pledge, Awards, Tags)

Create a positive and strong classroom community using these fun bucket filler activities and awards! They are perfect for not only introducing your class to bucket filling at the beginning of the year, but also for reinforcing it throughout the year or as supplemental activities for the popular book, How Full is Your Bucket? For Kids by Tom Rath or any of Carol McCloud's bucket filler books.

You will receive engaging, hands-on activities that will help your students comprehend the bucket filler concept and put it to action in your classroom as well as editable bucket filler awards and tags to encourage and promote positive bucket filling behavior, build a strong classroom community, and lift student moral.

I included resources that use both “bucket spillers” and “bucket dippers” terminology. I used “bucket spillers” because it rhymed with “bucket fillers” and was therefore easier for my younger students to remember. However, if you read the Carol McCloud books and wish to use her terminology of “bucket dipper” it is available as well.

You receive (please see the preview file for examples of each):

• Bucket Filler Class Pledge in both color and black & white - a great way to remind students of expectations and build classroom community. The color version can be displayed in the classroom, the b/w version can be copied so each student has their own.
• Anchor Chart Headings & Printable Strips - shows the difference between a “bucket filler” and a “bucket spiller” or “dipper”. This anchor chart is a great visual reminder for students and helps them self-monitor their behavior.
• Pocket Chart Sorting Activity - students sort behaviors into "Bucket Fillers" and "Bucket Spillers or Dippers" to help reinforce the concept and show how their actions can affect others.
• Bucket Filler Sorting Printable Page - can be used to check each student’s individual understanding of the bucket filler concept.
• Bucket Filler Bulletin Board, Patterns, & Title / Bulletin Board Letters (in color and ink-saving black and white) - students create a bucket craft that shows how they are bucket fillers. Makes a wonderful display and visual reminder!
• Bucket Filling Activities - additional hands-on activities and visual explanations that help students understand and comprehend the bucket filler concept.
• two versions of each set of treat tags - one set that has editable text boxes for student names and one set that has no editable text boxes so you can easily print them out and hand write student names if desired. You also receive fun treat suggestions (both food and non-food ideas).
• 3 different bucket filler awards with editable fields (please see the preview file to view exactly which text fields are editable)
• 2 reward tags that can be placed on necklaces, ring binders, etc.
