    Description

Bring back engagement and interactive lessons with my characterization unit. You get character crowns and eight printable lessons for The House on Mango, The Outsiders, The Great Gatsby, The Odyssey, Greek Mythology, Writers of the Harlem Renaissance, Antigone, Harry Potter, Lord of the Flies, Hamlet, The Scarlet Letter, Antigonë, Cyrano De'Bergerac, Romeo and Juliet, Lord of the Flies, The Princess Bride, and much more. This is a growing bundle, and buying it now will give you free access to the next crowns I add. It's like a golden ticket to free stuff. This is an ideal companion for an in-depth character analysis. Your students select a character, research their purpose in the novel, decorate a hat to represent them, and become the class expert on that character for all text discussions.

-Host a character ball. Students dress and respond as the characters.

-Create a wax museum of the characters. Students design the exhibit.

-Have a novel party; Gatsby Bash, Greek Festival, Romeo's Rennaisance.

-Last supper-Invite your favorite character - write Q and A.

-Family Feud- Two Novels-Students create Q and A and battle.

-Trial based on a Novel with character witnesses.

The ways to use these Character Crowns in your novel unit are endless.

This learning tool is the perfect tool for in-class reading! Analyze the protagonist, antagonist, direct characterization, indirect characterization, internal conflict, dynamic character, and more. Students decorate the crown using text and symbols, research their characters, and have characterization discussions with other students. This is active learning at its finest. My students loved this!!! I've also included eight characterization activities in the zip.

    How to earn TPT Credits:

"Earn TpT Credits for purchases on TpT. You get one TpT Credit for every $ you spend on TpT. Thing is, you only get the Credits after you Provide Feedback -- both a fair rating and a fair comment -- on the items that you purchase. We will round up for you, too! If you provide fair feedback on a $4.75 item, you will earn 5 credits. Every 100 Credits is worth $5 that you can apply towards future TpT purchases, but there is no need to wait until you have 100 to redeem them. 50 credits is worth $2.50, for example."--TPT Credits Page
