Description
Where do you start when you go back? This review is perfect as a review and as a reminder for your students of what they need to know to begin Calculus.
This teaching resource is designed for AP Calculus AB, Honor Calculus, and College Calculus 1.
Do you jump right in, or do your review? If left to the kids, you could review for 6 weeks or more. But for AP and for College Calculus, there is little time in the tight schedule to review.
This activity can be used in a number of ways and effectively reintroduces crucial topics from PreCalculus and Trigonometry in the first hectic back to school weeks. Use as an In-class activity, Stations, Task Cards, Take Home Assignment, or as a mix of all. For those with more time for review, please look at my new Review for Calculus Bundle.
Included:
- 36 Task Cards including Functions, Trigonometry, and Algebra concepts needed for success in Calculus. The questions are carefully chosen to be appropriate for First Year Calculus or College Calculus 1. Topics from Pre-Calculus such as Polar and Series are not included. If you want the kids up and moving, these also work quite well as Stations.
- Same 36 Problems in a worksheet format which can be used for an alternate class or for an absentee, given page by page as a review the first week, or sent home to Distance Learning students. I have left room for students to show work and there are about 4 - 6 problems per page. They are in a random order to keep kids on top of the task.
