What educators are saying

My students love doing readers' theaters and I love how it boosts their speaking fluency and confidence!
My students loved participating in this Moostletoe Reader's Theater. The students were very engaged and looked forward to reading their part. I will use this again and hopefully practice so the students can perform for other classes. Thank you!

Description

This is a seven-page long reader's theater script taken from the story "Mooseltoe" by Margie Palatini. The scripts is typed with 20 narrators who each get to speak at least three times during the story. However the file is editable so you could add more/less narrators to fit your needs.

The story is about a Moose who worked really hard getting everything ready for Christmas. He wrote Christmas letters and cards, he shopped, he wrapped and ribboned, and cooked. But, then he realizes he forgot one of the most important things: the Christmas tree!

This reader's theater script is best suited for for students in 2-4. The reading level of the text is 2.6 with a lexile measure of 180L.

Reader's theater is a fun way to build students' reading fluency.
