Description

Christmas Word Search Nouns and Adjectives

Don't you just love Christmas themed activities!! I sure do, and my students do too. This will make a great addition to your other Christmas related activities.

In this Christmas themed puzzle, words are found forward, backward, up, down, and diagonally. I would consider it on the challenging side since students are looking for words in all directions. Keep this in mind when considering it for third grade and below.

Whether you are just starting to work on nouns and adjectives or if your kids need a quick review, this activity will work.

I like to do word searches for holiday morning work. It can also be used as a literacy center if your students write about a short story or paragraph with some of the words listed on the word search. They could also use ten words in a sentence using correct capitalization and punctuation.

An added bonus is that the kids can color the pictures when they are finished with the word search. Even my 4th graders love that.

Feel free to use it in your classroom however you would like.

The words included are:

beautiful tree

fast sled

gingerbread cookie

hot cocoa

twinkling stars

colorful ornaments

filled stockings

green holly

jolly Santa

warm sweater

decorated snowman

freezing snow

helpful elf

tasty peppermint

wrapped present
