Climatograph Challenge

Both reading and inferring information from a Climatograph (also known as a Climate Graph) is a skill that needs to be practiced before a student becomes proficient. This activity allows students to work in pairs and fosters discussion between groups as it is reviewed by the teacher.

In a Social Studies class, this fosters discussion regarding the adaptations specific Aboriginal Peoples made in order to survive in a particular location.

This resource comes with climatographs from 8 Terrestrial Biomes, 8 climatographs from unknown locations, a student answer sheet, a teacher's answer key and a climatograph extension exercise.


Be forewarned, there will be disagreement and dialogue provoked by a few of the examples here.
