Description

Do you want a research project for your students that is both rigorous and high-interest? This is the project for you! In this Country Research Project, students are able to use choice and will conduct research, create a presentation, give an oral presentation, and complete a one-pager on the country! There are rubrics, notes pages, and a Google Slides™ presentation that can be downloaded as a PowerPoint™!

*NOTE: This resource is stored in Google Drive™, so you will need to grant access to allow TpT to put the files into your Google Drive™.

How to use this resource:

  • Have students to do an internet search and gather ideas for which country they would like to research.
  • Use the Slides Rubric page to set expectations with students.
  • Use the Country Research Project Notes page to have students to write down the country that they choose to research.
  • Once students have their country picked out, have them to use the Country Research Project Notes page to write down notes, facts, and ideas for their Slides presentations.
  • Assign the Slides to each individual student, so he or she can edit their own copy of the Slides.
  • Once students have completed their Slides presentations, go over the Oral Presentation Rubric with the class.
  • After that, have students to complete their presentations in front of the class.
  • Next, go over the One-Pager Rubric with the students, so they understand what they need in their one-pagers.
  • Finally, give students one of the One Pager pages.

In addition, this is a great resource for ESL students to practice their reading, writing, and speaking skills!
