Description

Are you looking for ways to incorporate children's literature into your music classroom? This is a single lesson plan for the book and song "Saint-Saens's Danse Macabre" by Anna Harwell Celenza. This is a great seasonal lesson for upper elementary students. It allows them to hear the history behind this spooky piece, while also digging deeper with some brainstorming, review, writing, coloring, etc. afterwards. To finish the lesson, a fun movement and stick routine is included. Your students will love this game - especially when you speed it up!

This is a quick print set, with little to no prep work involved. A variety of activities are included to fit multiple grade and learning levels. Due to copyright, the piece and story are not included, but can easily be found.
