What educators are saying

I found this to be a great resource to not only use with my GT kiddos but everyone. This gives that bump up in thinking that they need.

Description

This bundle includes three different Depth & Complexity math word problem frames which examine division, comparing fractions/finding equivalent fractions and comparing and ordering decimals. ***Digital overlay version now included for Distance Learning! Each of these frames are sold individually, but I decided to combine them at a discounted price (you save $1.50!).

Included in this lesson are:

+ Optional frames (independent solving and one with embedded cooperative learning structures for kids to work part of the activity together in groups and in partnerships)

+ 4 different layouts to choose from for kids to work the problem and record their answers

+ 1 alternative frame with a different layout to work the different questions

+ frames and alternative organizers with the option to change the problem given

+ 3 answer keys

+ detailed directions/suggestions for use explaining how to use the frames and the embedded cooperative learning structures (structures are optional)

Who Can Use Depth & Complexity Frames?

Although these lessons are designed for GATE students, I still use them with my "Non GATE" learners, and they really enjoy it! Teachers have the choice of using this as an independent activity, an assessment, as a math center, or as a way for kids to work together cooperatively, as one of the sheets include cooperative learning structures. This allows the kids the opportunity to verbalize their learning and communicate like mathematicians.

***Each lesson can also be purchased separately ranging from $1.50-2.00 (see below), but you save $1.50 buying them in the bundle.
