Design Pet Rock Inspired Desk Name Tags : Coloring Name Plates

Let your students be creative in designing their desk name plate by having them design a version of a Pet Rock. Your kids will love adding their own personal touches to their individual desks. Plus, they will add lots of color and creativity to your classroom. Your students will have a lot of fun walking around the room and seeing all of the different ideas their friends came up with.

NOTE: This is a pdf. file. It is NOT editable. These tags were designed specifically for students to take complete ownership of the pet rock design, writing their name large, and coloring their rock and pattern.

They are designed to be printed, cut apart (3 different designs per page), and given to students to complete.

Each name plate has a name box for students to write their name in. You'll want them to write it big, possibly go over it with a marker. Surrounding each name box is a pattern to color. Then there is a rock shape where students will turn the shape into their 'pet rock'. They will also name the pet and write it on the line.

There are 9 different name plates. Each plate has a different pattern and a different shaped rock outline. You could give students the same one or choose a variety of different name tags for their desks.

Don't forget to laminate the finished product for durability. Kids are sure to have a lot of fun.
