Directed Drawings - 3 Summer Animals - Sea Turtle, Shark, Crab
What educators are saying
Description
Students love Directed Drawing! The process allows children of all ages feel successful in learning how to draw. This activity is even great for older children and adults.
I was motivated to share this for several reasons:
1. I saw how much the kids enjoy it!
2. It promotes learning, listening, and following directions.
3. The process helped ME learn to draw using simple shapes and clear directions.
What makes these Directed Drawings unique? Each one comes with printable directions for students. The directions are written with child-friendly words and supported with step-by-step pictures.

In the Classroom:
Model how to draw and follow the directions on a large piece of paper or the chalkboard. Allow students to do their first draft in their journals or on a dry erase board. Final copies can be made for classroom art, into cards as gifts, or into a keepsake for the end of the year.
