Description

These handouts of patterns ideas can be used with ANY art lesson that you want students to add dot patterns in. For example, International DOT Day activities or after learning about the artist Yayoi Kusama. This is not as art lesson plan, but rather a resource for adding dot patterns to any lesson you teach.

In addition to 48 pattern examples, I will also give you 5 different technique ideas for making light colored dots on a dark background.

Some more ideas for using this set:

For this set. The patterns can be used to add dots to your own lesson. Students could choose what to draw. Another option is to teach them how to draw an object or landscape first, then have students add dots to their drawing. You could also have students just make an abstract design or “take a line for a walk” around the page and then fill in each area with a different dot design.
