Description

Poetry Month is in the month of April and so is Earth Day, so why not combine the two and write some poetry related to Earth Day. :-)

Let your students share their thoughts, feelings, and ideas about Earth Day by using this 8.5 x 11 themed poster.

This poster will look great hanging outside your classroom, and parents will enjoy reading them when they are sent home.

The Earth Day poetry poster writing activity has plenty of places for students to add their own creative touches with color as they color the black lined themed pictures.

You could also use as a literacy center/writing activity!

NOTE: I have lots of other posters, so don't forget to check them out.

The 4 types of poetry included on this poster are"

**Acrostic - students will pick a 5 letter word to write an acrostic poem for, such as Earth, Reuse, Plant, or any others they can come up with.

**Haiku

**Quatrain

**Cinquain

NOTE- In order to get 4 poems on the one page, space is limited, but I tried my best to set it up allowing room for the 4 types of poetry I selected. Please look closely before you buy. My students would be fine, but use your best judgement when considering your own students.

If you need help with the format of each poem or details about how to write them, there is a link included on the credits page of the pack. You can find definitions and samples on that site.

My posters look so nice on a bulletin board or hanging outside the classroom. I get so many compliments on them.
