What educators are saying

I loved that this resource had repetition so once my students learned how to do it it was something I could place for them and not have to explain every day. I needed that for the beginning of the year!

Description

Simplify your May mornings with daily 1st grade Math ELA spiral review morning work! ☀️ Engage your class effortlessly with this fun and comprehensive 1st grade morning work, including ELA and Math! It's designed as independent work to get your class focused and learning the moment they walk in.

What's included: ✅

Spanning 80 days, it's perfect for settling an active classroom during the morning rush or post-recess transition. Plus, it doubles as a convenient end of the year summer review packet and is available for digital use.

→ The spiral review repeats several times before a new concept is introduced. Only one new area/concept is introduced at a time while the rest of the worksheet mirrors the format the students have been practicing. Therefore, this morning work should remain a fairly independent activity!

→ Most first graders should be able to work on these independently. This morning work pack begins by reviewing letters and numbers (numeral, tally, 10 frame). Then, shapes, colors, and sight words are added. It gradually introduces number decomposition (using the part, part, whole model) and corresponding number sentences. Then, 3 digit addition and less than/greater than is reviewed. Time (to the hour and half hour), addition/subtraction, and sentence practice are reviewed toward the end of the morning work pack.

❤️ Why you'll love this resource: ❤️

Structured as a spiral review, this resource gradually introduces new concepts while reinforcing previously learned skills. Each worksheet follows a familiar format, promoting student autonomy and confidence. Answer keys are provided for easy grading.

Note: Some pages overlap with the second-grade morning work packet. Therefore, purchasing both isn't recommended to avoid redundancy.

✦✦✦ This resource can now be assigned as a standard no prep printable -OR- as an digital resource through Easel! ✦✦✦
