Description
Measurement is a fun unit because it can easily be so hands on and interactive, and these activities definitely encourage that!
Included:
* Measurement Garden - a craftivity where students colour, cut out, and glue the flowers in order on a large piece of construction paper/cardstock (making sure to use a "common baseline!!")
* Measurement With a Cherry on Top! - measuring ice cream cones (with snap cubes, links, dice...anything you want!) and recording how many units
* Draw & Measure! - kids can draw any picture they want and then measure its length and width
* Measurement Hunt - students hunt around the room in groups, pairs, or independently and measure and 5 objects
