Figurative Language / Literary Device Quiz-Quiz-Trade Game

This is a set of 70 cards including alliteration, onomatopoeia, simile, metaphor, oxymoron, personification, hyperbole, and idiom. Each card has a sentence containing figurative language one one side and the answer on the back side whic makes it perfect for individual practice or my favorite... Quiz, Quiz, Trade!

If you aren't familiar with the game, each student gets a card. When you say "quiz, quiz, trade, they put a hand up, look for a partner, high 5, and then quiz each other using their card. After both have answered their partner's question, giving their partner help if needed and praising their partner for the correct answer, they trade cards, put a hand up, and find another partner. The came keeps going... hand up, high 5 a new partner, quiz each other, trade, hand up, etc. I use the same game for math facts, spelling practice, vocabulary, comprehension... the kids love it and as a teacher, it's great to watch them help their classmates!
