Description

First Grade CCSS RI & RL Standards ( RI 1.1 RI 1.2 RI 1.3 RI 1.4 RI 1.5 + ) Planning & grading just got a whole lot easier! I have summarized the 1st grade RL & RI reading standards and created a common core aligned student worksheet to correspond to each!!

Each worksheet is clearly labeled with the corresponding standard. The best part is that these worksheets can be used over and over with ANY text!

My favorite way to use them is to place them in sheet protectors with cardboard behind them to keep them stiff. I link them with a ring, and hang them next to our classroom bookshelf. Early finishers, choose one when they choose a book to read, and write on it with a dry erase marker. I scan it when they are done. They erase, and it’s ready for the next student. This is a perfect way to make silent reading time more valuable, and give early finishers an even better extension activity! Of course, these can also be used in small group instruction, centers, or as a whole group. I always introduce them one by one (either whole group or small group) and explain my expectations before I hang them by our library for the early finishers group.
