What educators are saying

I am really loving this activity for a group I started in my home with a few of the neighborhood girls. A great addition to my resources to keep them actively engage while being able to connect with other girls.
This is excellent. Thank You for providing such an incredible curriculum that has such a profound lasting impression on these kids.

Description

Jemz 8-week Girls Curriculum is easy-to-teach, so much fun but most importantly life-changing for each girl who goes through the Jemz experience. For testimonials go to my website at teachkindtoday.com

Jemz Girls Program is a character building curriculum that provides an outlet to build healthy relationships and character in a small group setting for girls ranging from the 4th to the 8th grade. The foundation of Jemz is based on 6 main principles: seeing good in others, the power of our words, living a life of gratitude, giving and receiving compliments, breaking negative cycles and attitude is everything. Jemz promotes SEL skills (*Social Emotional Learning) and is timeless. It can be taught now and one hundred years from now. Jemz can be taught to any child within any socio-economic background including the city, suburbs or a child across the globe. Jemz lessons are beautiful seeds planted in the spirit of each child and will grow for years and years to come.

The Jemz 8-week curriculum comes with instructions for getting started step by step, easy to follow lesson plans, printables, parent reports, all rights to the trademarked Jemz logo, Jemz poster, & Jemz t-shirt design. Jemz also provides a list of low cost items that you will need to purchase (i.e, a binder, journals, small plastic bin, etc...). Don't have 8 weeks? You can teach the lessons as 60-90 minute workshops based on the group needs.

• Lessons and Program activities also promote: Decision Making and Communication, Speaking in front of a Group, Getting to Know One Another on a Deeper Level, Teamwork and Team Spirit, Bonding with a new Friend, and Best of All... Lots of FUN!

* At the end of each class, girls are sent home with a take-home assignment (JEMZ Challenge) that focuses on the lesson of the day. The challenge reinforces the lesson that we dove into together as a group.

* Girls are also sent home with a JEMZ Report. This keeps loved ones included in what their child is doing during each class.

*Benefits

Each child will be built up and poured into for 8 weeks by the Jemz teacher and her peers. Each week is new… they don’t know what to expect so they are super excited! Something to look forward to. It’s fun! Seeds of positivity planted – once a seed has been planted it is always there!

Great in a private or public school setting, community or rec center, after school program, home school group, youth group, cheer or sports team. It can be taught as a complementary class or charge a fee.

Note from Amy Colombo, writer of Jemz Girls Program:

"Teaching Jemz has changed my life. Jemz was purposefully written for my own daughter. It was written with love and from the deepest part of my heart. I have had students come into week one of class with their heads down not making eye contact. By the end of that very class you start to see the spark come alive in them. By week three, they are comfortable, excited to get started and have already made friends, by week eight they are a family and have gone through an emotional, social and beautiful experience together."
