    Description

Greek and Latin Roots - The Complete Root Word Lesson Plan Bundle DIGITAL & PRINT ⭐ These Google Classroom slides are perfect for busy teachers, and the PRINTABLE worksheets provide easy, NO-Prep classroom activities! A SELF GRADING Google Form quiz is also included.

    PRINT

    1. Easily introduce students to Greek and Latin roots! I like to print the posters on colorful card card stock and put 5 in a plastic sheet taped to the wall. We introduce a new root each day when we come in from recess.

Each day, a student flips takes the 1st card and moves it to the back. The class uses a graphic organizer to record their work. They write it, define it, think of examples, illustrate it, and use it. This no-prep activity takes only a few minutes daily.

    DIGITAL

    2. Greek and Latin Roots Digital Worksheets ~ These Greek and Latin Roots for Google Classroom are designed for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, & 7th grade students. This is the digital version of the Greek and Latin Roots Worksheets listed above.

    3. A Google Forms Reading Comprehension SELF GRADING quiz. This resource can be used as a quiz or as digital task cards. It includes 15 multiple choice task cards in Google Forms! This is a perfect NO-prep activity for distance learning!

    • Designed to make the classroom efficient and interactive, these task cards are presented as self-grading Google Forms that automatically generate a spreadsheet of student scores, making grading papers a thing of the past. Simply copy and paste the values into your grade book (or link your Google grade book), and your grading is done. The Google Form even shows graphical response data, making it easier than ever to assess your students' mastery of the standards.

    • The auto-grading is all performed within this product. No add-ons, extensions, or extra preparation is required.

    • The task cards are perfect for laptops, iPads, Chromebooks, and tablets of all brands and operating systems! They integrate seamlessly with Google Classroom.

Teaching roots will teach students to "look inside" of words for familiar letters, word families, and other patters. Understanding words will help with reading comprehension too!
