This activity can help students in grades 3-5 meet the common core objective: Write opinion pieces on topics or texts, supporting a point of view with reasons and information.
In this activity, students take on the role of a real estate agent who is trying to find the perfect house for their client, "Mr. Skeleton". He is looking for the spookiest house you can find, and in your opinion, you have found the house for him. Students will state the address of the house and give evidence/reasons to support what makes it the spookiest house.
There are 2 organizers included that will help your students come up with the design of the house as well as descriptive words.
Several choices of writing paper are included as well as an illustration paper if your kids would like to illustrate the haunted house they have 'selected' for Mr. Skeleton.
In addition, there are a couple of sheets to display using the projector that give reminders for things to remember when organizing the paper.
