Description

This lesson at how poverty and inequality is measured. The lesson focuses heavily on both the Lorenz Curve and how the Gini Coefficient is used to measure a countries poverty and distribution of income. The lesson includes lots of detailed theory, diagrams, examples and tasks. The tasks include a nice gap fill worksheet. I have also included a nice worksheet based on the Gini Coefficient. The lesson concludes with past exam style questions. I have also included a student version of the PPT. This lesson is perfect for looking at poverty and how their is clear inequality in the UK and the World and how it is measured. This lesson is perfect for Economics and could also be useful for Geography and Business Studies. This is lesson 3 of 4 covering poverty and the inequality of the distribution of income.
