I Have, Who Has Game: Adding and Subtracting 10 or 10s. 4 levels!
- PDF
Description
Encourage mental math strategies and using the 100s chart with this fun game. I Have, Who Has is a game that you can use with any skill. A person starts off the game, asking a question and begins a chain of responses. It makes kids focus and pay attention. They are also all required to answer each question in their heads, avoiding the issue of kids spacing out during a game until it's their turn.
There are 4 levels of difficulty, so you can really focus on a specific skill and scaffold the practice.
I teach how to use the 100s chart to add and subtract 10 to a number. Then I challenge them by adding and subtracting by 20 and 30 as well. After we practice sufficiently, I throw them this game, and they love it!
There are 4 levels.
Level 1: +10
Level 2: -10
Level 3: +10 and - 10 mix
Level 4: + 10, 20, 30 and - 10, 20, 30 mix
Each level is marked with a different cupcake. I also printed each level on a different color. There are 27 cards for each level. This game can be played whole class or in small groups of 4-6.
Included is a 100s chart (4 on a page and full page). This can be given to students who still need that extra support.
