Description

Help your students celebrate Thanksgiving with this fun writing activity! This resource includes clear student directions and writing templates that are perfect for exploring all the things your students are thankful for. Your students will also love using Skittles to help them brainstorm!

Help your students plan their writing by brainstorming things they are thankful for based on the color of their Skittles. Students sort their skittles by colors, then follow the writing template to help them brainstorm. They will enjoy this activity so much, they won't even realize they are writing!

Your students will love how the Skittles help them make a list of their favorite things. They will brainstorm things, people, places, etc. they are thankful for. They'll be motivated to write once they get started with this activity!

Preparing for this activity is simple, but you will need to purchase Skittles for each of your students. Once you've done that, just print the brainstorming templates, and final writing pages. Then, you're ready for a fun and engaging class during the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving!

The only additional materials you'll need:

  • Individual Skittles packs for each student (need 8, 12, or 16 depending on the final template you choose)
  • Napkins/Paper towels
  • Crayons/Colored Pencils
