Description
This NOTEBOOK file can only be used with the worksheet and the lesson plan.
As a pre-reading activity, students create freeze frames based on phrases from the speech. Because they are given without any contextual reference, students will create freeze frames that show scenes which are in stark contrast to what Hitler had in mind.
This will become clear in the reading activity, which is a primary source.
Comparing and contrasting freeze frames and original context, students can draw conclusions about the relationship between state and individual in Nazi Germany.
