Ice Age (The Movies) Viewing, Writing and Poetry Activities

Teach with movies! Ice Age, The Meltdown, Surviving Sid, Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Continental Drift, and Collision Course will all work with this 5-page, fun, no-preparation-required resource. Students watch with purpose as they look for sensory details while filling in a chart. Students will also be listing the various animals that appear in the film. Both the chart and the list are used (after the movie is over) for poetry and writing activities. Students will create an acrostic, 3 haiku, a free verse and a creative writing paragraph inspired by Ice Age. All the prep work has been done. Just print and play the movie! It really is that simple.
