Description

Inflation is such a hot topic in today's economy! The price of goods and services are at an all time high and it's relevant information for our students to learn in understand as they gain basic economic knowledge.

In this inflation interview, students are asked to look up the current price of everyday common items like a dozen of eggs or a gallon of gas. Students will then pick two people to interview (preferably from two different generations). In their interviews students will see how the price of goods has changed over the years. Students will then be asked to reflect on the information they found out and try to figure out why this is true and what is the cause of inflation!

This is a great way for kids to learn about economics in a fun way while connecting families to what we are learning in the classroom!

Also check out my economics research project and goods & services activity to use in your economics unit!
