Celebrate the Last Day of School: Word Search Activity
It's a fun word search as you close out your school year!! We can always use a filler activity the last day of school. How about a fun morning work activity? If your students are like mine, they love these. Use it however you would like in your classroom.
In this last day of school puzzle, words are found forward, backward, up, down, and diagonally. I would consider it on the challenging side since students are looking for words in all directions. Some are two word phrases, such as 'pack up'. Keep this in mind when considering it for third grade and below.
Need an extra activity. Go around the room and have students use a word in a sentence that relates to their year. It might be a fun activity to sit in a circle to do. For example, for the word 'happy', a student may say "It made me very happy to go to the zoo this year." For the word 'memories', a student may say "One of my favorite memories was when we won the field day tug of war."
