Description
As the weather gets cold, I thought it might be fun for my Algebra students to have their independent practice spruced up into a snowflake shape!
This is a learning ladder that teaches students to write equations of a line in point-slope or slope-intercept form given different information. The fun element is the winter shape and snowflake twist! The first page starts with a turn and talk - the idea behind the topic is that fingerprints are unique (just like snoflakes!) and so are equations of lines. Certain information will lead us to the equation! The rest of the assignment is some guided notes and examples while the second page is the snowflake shaped practice assignment. The third page is the exit ticket I used to assess students' learning at the end of the period.
