Are you swamped by the number of requests you get this time of year from students to write letters of recommendation for scholarships, college admissions, or awards? Or letters of recommendations for colleagues or student teachers? Do you want to write a quality letter, but just don't have the time?
This EDITABLE Word doc contains 28 sample letters of recommendation. I've included several different kinds of letters (letters for a scholarship, letters for college admissions, letters to recommend a colleague or former student for a teaching position, etc.), so I know you'll be able to find at least a few useful.
I've updated the letters to include a basic guideline for how to write a quality letter and the proper business-letter format. I included a completed letter on letterhead for a visual reference, as well.
In addition to the 28 complete letters, I included sample ONLINE responses you can copy and paste when you need to submit a reference letter electronically.
*Letters are provided in Microsoft Word format so you can edit and/or copy and paste into an online letter or form.
