What educators are saying
Description
Students will have fun practicing MLA format with this no-prep, editable digital breakout. This MLA format activity will have students analyzing in-text citations, works cited pages, student work & more.
Students do not need a strong understanding of MLA to be able to complete this breakout. The MLA activity gets progressively more rigorous, but should still be accessible to students unfamiliar with MLA format.
MLA Format Digital Activity has four challenges:
- Understanding what MLA is and its purpose.
- Navigating and answering questions based on Purdue Online Writing Lab website, which fosters independence in answering their own questions about MLA.
- Identifying the expectations of page layout and a Works Cited page.
- Analyzing a student sample for proper MLA format.
Note: This activity has one external link to Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL). Students are expected to navigate Purdue OWL with guidance from the activity.
