Description
The Rise and Fall of Lord Macbeth is a short stage script version of Shakespeare's great tragedy, Macbeth. The script is suitable for students to perform and has been slightly modernised to make it accessible.

Cast size: 20
Can increase cast size to 24 with additional non-speaking Townspeople
Can reduce cast size to 17 by giving some students more than one role to play
Running time: approx. 45 minutes.
All of the original character names, symbolic imagery, themes and the essential elements of the original Macbeth have been retained. It's a great, dramatic, play script for any English class, theatre program, or performing arts club that also provides students with the opportunity to develop skills in mime, tableaux and performance arts.
