    What's included: ✅

    1. 24 Main Idea and Details (Differentiated)

The first set is multiple choice. The second set has the same stories, but students are asked to identify and write out the main idea in short answer form. This provides differentiation and more of a challenge for fourth grade and above.

    2. Inference

The first set is multiple choice. The second set has the same stories, but students are asked to identify and write out their inference in short answer form. This provides differentiation and more of a challenge for fourth grade and above.

    3. Theme (Differentiated)

Finding theme is made easier with differentiated cards 1-16, as they multiple choice options. Cards 17-24, are a little more difficult, as they are open ended and ask for a word or sentence. 3 posters are also included.

    4. Character Traits

Use these 24 short passage cards to practice inferring character traits. The multiple-choice format makes these cards ideal for test prep or as a supplement to your reading skills lesson. These work well for reading strategy centers, stations, for partner work, or with the whole class using a game like Scoot. An anchor chart is also included.

    5. Idioms

This resource includes 24 Idiom Task Cards & 20 Idiom Posters. The posters represent the figurative and literal definitions. They include a title, picture, definition, and example sentence. You can display them on the wall, or laminate & cut them into idiom puzzles.

    6. Text Structure Sort

This nonfiction text structure sorting resource is designed to teach 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th grade students about the informational text structures: Cause and Effect, Compare and Contrast, Problem and Solution, Description and Sequence . This printable resource provides several opportunities for students to practice identifying the structure of a piece of writing through worksheets & a hands on foldable / sorting activity.

    7. Context Clues Task

Perfect for determining the meaning of unknown words. This resource includes 28 task cards. The anchor chart can be printed as a one page document or in larger sections, so the pieces can be hung together to form a 17 x 22 inch poster.

    8. 40 Figurative Language

The cards include: simile, metaphor, idiom, hyperbole, personification, onomatopoeia, and alliteration practice. The first 24 cards are easier because they only provide one sentence to analyze. The next 16 cards are more difficult. These cards provide students with 3 sentence and ask them to determine which sentence matches a specific type of figurative language. This provides more of a challenge for more advanced students.

    9. Cause and Effect Task Cards Game

Posters, 32 Reading Comprehension Task Cards, and Scoot Game Directions.

They simply need to answer the problem correctly to earn an extra spin etc.
