Description

These introductory money worksheets are great for early learners! The money covered in this resource includes the penny, nickel, dime, quarter and one dollar bill. All printables require NO PREP and can be used for independent work, morning work, homework, and math centers!

PLEASE NOTE: Some of the pages in this packet are also used in my first grade money packet. Make sure to only purchase one of these packets as some of the pages are duplicates. Also, students will need to be able to skip count by 5s and 10s to complete several pages in this packet.

The skills included in this packet are:

  • Identify the front side of pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters
  • Understand the value of the penny, nickel, dime, quarter and one dollar bill
  • Determine money values by counting money by 1s, 5s and 10s

The activities included in this packet are:

  • Identify Pennies and Nickels
  • Identify Dimes and Quarters
  • Hunt for Pennies – Color pennies along a path.
  • Hunt for Nickels – Color nickels along a path.
  • Hunt for Dimes – Color dimes along a path.
  • Hunt for Quarters – Color quarters along a path.
  • Coin Values – Write the value of the coins. (2 pages)
  • Count the Pennies – Count the pennies in a piggy bank and write the amount.
  • Add the Pennies – Count pennies in two jars and add the amounts.
  • Ice Cream for Sale – Color pennies to show an amount.
  • Shop with Pennies – Determine whether you have enough money to buy an item.
  • Nickels in the Jar – Determine the value of the money in the jar.
  • Count Money – Determine the value of nickels. Color the circle that shows the amount.
  • Shop with Nickels - Determine whether you have enough money to buy an item. (2 pages)
  • Dimes in a Jar - Determine the value of the money. Color the circle that shows the amount.
  • Count Money – Determine the value of the dimes. Color the circle that shows the amount.
  • Shop with Dimes - Determine whether you have enough money to buy an item. (2 pages)
  • Count the Dollars – Count the dollars in a piggy bank and write the amount.
