Description

Heighten student engagement and critical thinking with your next student-centered multi-genre project! This interactive slideshow scaffolds the research process--which can be daunting for many students. Students have the choice to pick a well-known person and then, they conduct research and write pieces that surround the chosen person's life and experience. We use The Glass Castle as a mentor memoir for whole-class discussion and examples.

This can be used as a full project or as creative writing mini-lessons. All resources are fully editable!

This resource includes:

  • 56-slide Interactive Notebook
  • 10 writing mini-lessons
  • Student examples
  • Printable rubric
