Multiplication Facts Practice Video Multiplication Basic Facts Fluency Activity

This is a Back to School themed multiplication video (Mpeg-4 Video) that is fun to play for your students any time during your math time.... especially fun in August and September since it does have a school supply theme! It's a great way to practice basic multiplication facts.

**I made it to use for back to school, but because it just has basic school supply images it can be used any time throughout the year to practice multiplication facts.

You can use it to kick off a math lesson, end a math lesson, or use here or there when you have an extra 5-10 minutes. It is intended to build fluency with basic multiplication facts. It flashes up a multiplication fact between 1 x 1 and 12 x 12. After the multiplication fact flashes up, it gives students 3 seconds to call out the answer and then the answer pops up. You can have your students call the answer out aloud for everyone to hear (which is what I do) or you can have them try to solve it in their head, whisper it to themselves, and then they can quietly see if they are right when it pops up. Either way works.

Because this multiplication facts practice video includes all facts and they are all mixed up, it is probably most suitable for students that have already been introduced to all facts. The order of the facts presented can not be changed. I mixed them up and they have to stay in the order I put them.

I will use it with 4th graders to build fluency despite the fact that we work on multi-digit multiplication. This is also the case with 5th grade math. Many are still not fluent with basic facts and can use a 5 minute review each day. You can decide if you think it will work for your students.

These fun printable word searches are an ideal activity for students to use to review standard related vocabulary while at home during this time of school closures. Word searches can be completed with a parent or sibling. A fun home learning activity!

• This multiplication fluency practice video can NOT be edited. It has all facts mixed up, so if you don't want the facts from 1 x 1 to 12 x 12 all mixed up, this might not be the video for you.

• This particular video has a school theme that includes a school supplies on each slide. All slides have the same picture, but the multiplication fact that pops up is different.
