Description

Let's begin planning our jungle adventure by going on a shopping spree! Students have $1,000 to spend and they need to get all of the supplies for the trip. Students will also learn the difference between needs and wants.

Students are told that they will go on a trip, but before going they will need to buy items to take with them. There is a 4 page list of items that students can choose from. They will record the items that they need on one page and the items that they want on another page. They will then add all of their items up, and see how much money they have left over.

I tried to make this as easy as possible for you to print. All you need to do is print pages 5-9, stapled, and you are ready to go!

Through this activity, the kids are going to practice addition to the thousands, subtraction across zeros, making a shopping list, staying within a budget, as well as needs vs. wants.

Thanks for stopping by!
