Description
This is a nonfiction unit I have used with 1st and 2nd graders for teaching students about 3 different types of bears.

Fast Fact sheets about Polar Bears, Grizzlies and Black Bears
Bear Research Pages
T-Charts to share attributes between Grizzlies and Polar Bears, Polar Bears and Black Bears, Grizzlies and Black Bears
Directions for creating a "Step Book" to record bear facts
Venn Diagram to compare 2 different kinds of bears
Labeling Bears (an example page and a blank copy for students to label)
World Map for adding stickers to show where the different bears live
Research pages for Grizzlies, Polar Bears and Black Bears
