    This bundle contains the NO PREP Number the Stars Novel Study, Reading and Comprehension Guide. It also contains 8 World War 2 and Holocaust lesson to supplement the Number the Stars Novel Study. A further description is below and the 8 lessons include:

    This Number the Stars unit contains 12 lessons (based on 90 minute periods) that cover the entirety of the book. Each lesson has a full lesson plan written out, a writing prompt, teacher model, graphic organizer, students activities, discussion questions. I've also included is a preview and reflection guide, as well as an introductory lessons on World War 2 and the Holocaust, as well as the role that Denmark and its citizens played in sheltering and helping their Jewish population escape.

    This novel study and reading guide for Number the Stars by Lois Lowry, comes with a variety of worksheets and graphic organizers for students to complete as they read.

    This Common Core aligned resource is perfect for whole group, small group, or individual reading instruction. It is also ideal for tutoring or homeschool education.

    ....And the fact that it is NO PREP makes it even better!

    This Number the Stars unit plan has been updated as of December 2022 to now include CCSS Alignments for grades 5-10.

    STUDENTS WILL...

    • Apply real life experience to events that will be encountered in the text that day.
    • Read the assigned section either in class or as previously assigned homework.
    • Respond to comprehension questions that are related to the reading of the day.
    • Complete a graphic organizer dedicated to a specific literary element (setting, character change and development, conflict, etc.).
