The D.C. Everest Oral History Program as published 26 books and conducted of 1,100 interviews. The program has received recognition from the American Historical Association - the Albert Beveridge K-12 Teaching, National VFW Teaching Award, Melvin Laird, Tom Hanks, Henry Kissinger and many others.
They have interviewed veterans, Native American, the Hmong, women, and many other groups.
This authentic learning project helps students love history!!!!!!
