Description

Poetry Task Cards set has 32 multiple choice cards which focus on figurative language (metaphor, simile, and personification), sound devices (onomatopoeia, alliteration, consonance, assonance), form (haiku, limerick, diamante) and structure (rhyme, rhythm, meter, stanzas) of poems. Print, cut, and laminate for durability to use every year. There is digital slide for each task card which you can project on your whiteboard. Great activity for National Poetry Month in April, too. Includes answer key, student recording sheets, teacher directions, editable student directions, and editable blank cards. Can be used to review and assess student knowledge, in centers, small groups, or as a whole class activity. Helps students demonstrate understanding of figurative language, word relationships, and nuances in word meanings. Slides can be used as bellringers, warm-ups, or filler activities. Includes self-grading Easel Assessment. Please see preview.
