What educators are saying

I really liked this resource. I am always looking for ways that students can reflect and be more accountable.

Description

Use this product to help guide students in their writing of poems, and to help guide you in the grading process! This completely editable checklist covers both the elements of poetry, as well as the conventions of writing that middle-elementary students should know. The goal statements are written from the perspective of the student, and in language that the student can easily understand!

There are two pages in this document:

  • One Student Checklist with 10 goals they are working towards.
  • One Teacher Rubric with the same 10 goals, but with points awarded for whether or not each goal was accomplished, and a spot for the student's final grade at the bottom.

Once downloaded, the document will appear in your Google Drive, and you may make any changes necessary to the goals you'd like students to accomplish, or to the points awarded for each goal.
