Description
These hands-on sort projects are designed to engage students as they distinguish between three different types of possessive nouns: singular possessive nouns, plural possessive nouns, and possessive pronouns.
The following is included:
- A set of mini posters (color & black/white)
- Singular Possessive and Plural Possessive Sort
- Singular Possessive, Plural Possessive, and Possessive Pronoun Sort
The set of mini posters can be used to teach/reinforce the categories of possessives included in these sorts.
Students will color each sorting card according to the type of possessive it is. The coloring helps students to slow down and truly think about what they are doing, resulting in a higher quality work product. Then, they will cut out their sort pieces and glue them into the correct category on a sorting mat (construction paper folded into sections).
Sorting activities are always a big hit in my classroom, I hope you find that your students love this activity too!
Be sure to check out the preview. :)
