What educators are saying

"Fantastic resource! The materials I purchased on Teachers Pay Teachers exceeded my expectations. The content was well-organized, engaging, and a valuable addition to my teaching toolkit. Thank you for creating such high-quality resources!"
This is an excellent resource for putting all the different components of proportional relationships together (equation, words, graph, table). The resource is visually pleasing.

Description

Included in this set:

- 2 pages of guided notes

- 3 pages of practice

- An additional page, which can be either notes or practice

Students explore the parts of a proportional relationship, and learn how to represent a proportional relationship as a table, a graph, and an equation.

Students first complete two pages of guided notes, then glue them into their notebooks.

Three pages of worksheets give students the opportunity to represent 6 different proportional relationships as tables, graphs and equations. These can be used for practice or homework.

A "connections" page is included, which can be done as a whole class or independently. Students describe how to calculate or find the constant of proportionality when looking at all three forms of a proportional relationship.

Please see the preview for a better understanding of these notes and worksheets.

Answer keys, directions and helpful hints are included.

This lesson can take from 1 - 2 days, depending on how much is done as a whole class.

This lesson is also a part of a Ratios and Proportional Reasoning Bundle:
